Finance Business Analyst
6 Month Initial Contract
Hybrid - requiring 1-2 days per week in our London office, with flexibility based on business needs.
£450pd (Inside IR35)
We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Analyst to join our team on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will take ownership of the business process workstream and will be instrumental in the implementation and optimisation of our finance system.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of as-is and to-be finance processes, collaborating with other Business Analysts, functional leads, and Finance SMEs.
Conduct thorough analyses of existing finance processes to identify gaps and areas for improvement, proposing solutions aligned with industry best practises and the capabilities of our SaaS ERP system.
Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and technical teams, managing expectations and addressing concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
Create comprehensive requirement documentation, including business process flows, use cases, user stories, and functional specifications.
Conduct system testing to ensure it meets defined requirements and functions as expected, collaborating with QA teams to resolve any issues.
Engage with UX/UI designers to ensure user-friendly interfaces that meet business needs.
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews to provide insights on business requirements and address any queries from development teams.
Assist in user training and provide ongoing support during the post-implementation phase for a smooth transition.
We are looking for individuals with the following qualifications and skills:
5+ years of experience in a Finance Business Analyst role, particularly in finance system implementation/re-platforming (Microsoft D365 experience is a plus).
Strong understanding of finance teams, roles, business processes, and operational workflows.
Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with a high degree of change and ambiguity.
Collaborative mindset, focused on pooling ideas and expertise to achieve the best results.
Strong problem-solving skills, capable of identifying challenges and proposing effective solutions.
Familiarity with project management practises across various IT and business projects.
Ideally, specific training and qualifications in Business Analysis
