Childrens Support Worker

gap healthcare are currnetly recruiting for Childrens Support Workers to cover a variety of Childrens and Young People services in March, Cambridgeshire. We have a vareity of shifts available including days, nights and sleep ins.

We have both full time, part time and bank opportunities.

Brief Duties Description

• Form positive relationships with Children and provide an environment in which they feel safe and free from harm.
• Support Children to gain self-control by rewarding positive behaviours and challenging unacceptable behaviour.
• Ensuring each care plan is followed and amended as required to reflect their changing needs.
• Assisting Children with practical matters such as accessing the community, independence skills development, cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
• Support to identify and attend social and leisure activities.
• Providing a positive role model able to offer advice, guidance, and assistance where appropriate.

Skills Required

• A minimum of six months experience working with Children or Young People
• Caring personality and nature
• Positive attitude and passion to help others.
• Basic IT and computer skills
