Job Description

Technical Project Manager - Cloud Migration - £500 per day - Outside IR35 - Remote - 6 Months initial contract.

My client, a global nuclear engineering organisation, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong focus on cloud migration projects to join their dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both cloud-to-cloud and on-premises to cloud migrations, with hands-on expertise in Azure and AWS environments. You will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end migration process, ensuring seamless delivery while adhering to security protocols and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities -

Lead and manage cloud migration projects from initiation to completion.

Plan and execute cloud-to-cloud and on-prem to cloud migrations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, security, and engineering.

Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.

Utilize Kanban methodologies to track project progress and deliverables.

Ensure compliance with security principles and industry best practices.

Coordinate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

Identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies.

Support automation initiatives in cloud environments.

Work closely with DevOps teams, leveraging tools like DevOps Boards to manage workflows.

Requirements -

Proven experience in cloud migration projects.

Hands-on experience with both cloud-to-cloud and on-prem to cloud migrations.

Expertise in Azure and AWS cloud implementations and migrations.

Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.

Proficiency in using Kanban for project management.

Familiarity with automation tools and practices within cloud environments.

Experience working with DevOps methodologies and tools (DevOps Boards preferred).

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).

Experience in large-scale enterprise migrations.

Background in software development or infrastructure engineering is a plus
