Job Title: Community Psychiatric Nurse (Band 6)

Location: South East London

Duration: 3 months

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join our team as a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) and play a vital role in delivering mental health support within a Primary Care Mental Health Service. Your responsibilities will include:

✔ Providing comprehensive mental health assessments for individuals within the community.

✔ Delivering short-term interventions for service users with mild to moderate mental health conditions.

✔ Collaborating with GPs, social workers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualised care plans.

✔ Supporting individuals with medication management, psychoeducation, and mental health recovery strategies.

✔ Managing a caseload of patients and ensuring timely interventions.

✔ Signposting and referring patients to specialist services when needed.

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

✔ A current and valid NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse (RMN).

✔ Proven experience working as a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) within a Primary Care or Community Mental Health setting.

✔ Strong clinical assessment and risk management skills.

✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

✔ The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

✔ A valid full UK driver’s license (preferred but not essential).

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This is a Monday to Friday role from 9 AM - 5 PM, offering flexibility and work-life balance. The contract is for 3 months, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
