1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for several 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to provide support for pupils in group situations and one-to-one, Supervise pupils, Direct pupils, and Use technical resources to support teaching and learning.

• Hours: 8.30am to 3.45pm, Monday to Friday, Term Time Only
• Salary: £85 - £100 per day PAYE, depending on experience
• Duration: Contract Temp>Perm
• Location: Surrey
• Start: ASAP

You will need to have:

• Classroom experience
• Safeguarding training
• SEN Experience

Duties and Responsibilities to include:

• Direct, supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
• Establish good professional relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
• Promote British values and the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
• Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
• Support pupils who exhibit challenging behaviour by helping them to recognise triggers and implement de-escalation techniques.
• Deliver intervention programmes to individuals or groups of children.
• Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
• Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.
• As appropriate, look after sick or upset pupils administering basic first aid as required.
• Attend to the physical needs of pupils.
• Supervise pupils during break times and plan and organise activities if required.
