Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Block Paver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in masonry and bricklaying, with a strong understanding of using both power and hand tools. This role involves working on various projects, including the installation of block paving and other outdoor spaces. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards.

Duties

• Lay blocks, bricks, and other paving materials according to specifications and design plans.
• Prepare surfaces for paving by clearing debris, levelling ground, and ensuring proper drainage.
• Use power tools and hand tools effectively to cut and shape materials as required.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections of work completed to ensure quality standards are met.
• Assist in the training of new team members in proper techniques and safety practices.

Skills

• Proficiency in using power tools such as saws, drills, and compactors.
• Strong skills in hand tools including trowels, chisels, and levels.
• Experience in masonry techniques and bricklaying practices.
