Rugby Challenge Project Lead - Strive 25
To create a participation legacy for women and girls, ignited by the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup.
Accountabilities/Responsibilities
1. Build relationships with key development organisations across key wards in Bristol which enable strong collaborative partnerships to be built.
2. Working alongside team members across both the sporting group and wider development community in Bristol to build strong collaborative relationships.
3. Devise and implement a development programme for T1 Rugby which has co-creation at its heart.
4. Monitor and evaluate all delivery through regular case study collection, individual sessional relationships & appropriate collective impact measurement inline with the national programme outcomes.
5. Produce a strategy for longer term sustainability post conclusion of the T1 Challenge programme.
Qualifications
1. Level 2 Coaching Qualification (Essential)
2. Rugby Specific Coaching Qualification (Desirable)
3. Youth Work Qualification
Skills and Experience
1. Experience in community development, delivery in complex environments and community engagement.
2. An awareness and understanding of the challenges faced in developing participation in areas of inequality.
3. Budget and financial management experience.
4. Experience in co-creating and delivering participation-based programmes which focus on engagement.
5. Previous experience of managing and developing staff including coach development.
6. Experience of working with children and young people to engage, motivate and inspire, through building positive relationships.
7. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with diverse individuals, including those unknown to you.
8. Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to support and collaborate effectively with team members and our partner charities.
9. Creative and skilled in various mediums such as writing and interviewing.
10. A clear understanding of Safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice.
11. Organised and thoughtful, capable of facilitating, planning and analysing results.
12. Passionate about creating positive change and improving outcomes for children, young people and their communities.
13. To have the flexibility in working hours to meet the delivery outcomes. This may include some evenings and weekends.
14. A proven ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
15. A commitment to supporting young people, and the principles of equality and diversity.
16. IT literate.
17. Full UK driving license and access to a car for travel in and around Bristol.
