Tradewind Recruitment is working with a secondary school located in Haringey, North London, which is seeking an experienced and highly organised Attendance Officer to join the team in March/April for the academic year initially. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the school's attendance and punctuality targets are met.

Haringey, North London

Salary: £16+ per hour (dependant on experience)

Full-time

Start Date: March/April

This is a full-time role, 8.00am - 3.30pm and there may be some working during holidays required but this is typically likely to only be at the beginning and end of the Summer break.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage student attendance and punctuality records

Identify and address attendance and punctuality issues with students and parents

Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and senior leadership team regarding attendance and punctuality concerns

Work collaboratively with the school pastoral team and external agencies to support students with attendance and punctuality issues

Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance and punctuality records

Assist with the preparation of attendance reports and statistics for senior leadership team and external agencies

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL - Previous experience working in an Attendance Officer role in a secondary school

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational and time management skills

Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge of the SIMS system is essential
