Job Title: Foreman / Site Manager (AMP8 Water)
Location: Derby / Nottingham (East Midlands)

Type: Contract OR Permanent role
Start: March 2025
Salary: £240 - £290 Per Day OR £45,000 - £50,000 Per Annum (Negotiable bases on experience)

Our client, a Civil Engineering Contractor, is looking for a Foreman / Site Manager to join their growing team in the East Midlands area. The initial project you will work on will include to the delivery of a Rising Main / Overflow Pipe, installing work into an existing water treatment / reservoir, with civil engineering focus.

You will be responsible for the daily management and safe-timely delivery of works on the project, on behalf of Severn Trent Water, managing site teams and internal labour, updating paperwork and site documentation, as well as ensuring works are delivered to key deadlines, liaising with the client as required, with the support of a Project Manger.

Daily duties may include but are not limited to:

• Managing internal labour to ensure the safety and timely delivery of works.
• Delivering Civil Engineering and associated works to programme.
• Updating site paperwork and documentation, such as RAMS.
• Completing inductions and toolbox talks as required.
• Managing resources on site effectively.
• Using problem-solving and decision-making skills to make informed decisions.
• Managing health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.

Candidates will ideally:

• Have previously delivered similar projects such as rising mains / overflow pipes into Water Treatment Works.
• Have experience working on AMP7 projects, delivering works on behalf of Severn Trent Water.
• Hold relevant site qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS Card and First Aid.
• Hold a relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, or similar. (Preferred, not essential)
• Have proven experience directing site labour, ensuring prompt delivery of works.
• Strong communication, I.T and management skills.
