Job Title: Fitter / Rigger

Location: Slough

Duration: 4-6 Months (with potential permanent opportunities)

Hours: 8-10 hour shifts

Pay Rate: £23 per hour (PAYE)

Accommodation: Provided if required

Overtime: Available at time and a half and double time

Job Overview:

We are looking for experienced Riggers/Fitters to support a 4-6 month project at an engineering/manufacturing site in Slough. The role involves machinery installations, removals, factory moves, and heavy/technical lifting. This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled individuals seeking contract work, with the potential for a permanent role at the end of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

Working to pre-prepared RAMS and following site safety protocols

Assembly & disassembly of machinery, plant, and equipment

Using lifting/handling equipment such as jacks, skates, hoists, skidding systems, and cranes

Assisting with heavy and technical lifting operations

Slinging and signaling loads in compliance with industry safety standards

Ensuring correct use of tools and lifting equipment

Completing relevant company paperwork relating to safety and asset management

Working within set time budgets to meet project deadlines

Maintaining a high standard of personal and equipment presentation

Requirements:

Previous experience in rigging, fitting, or heavy machinery movement

Slinger Signaller qualification (preferred)

Experience using lifting and handling equipment

Strong commitment to health & safety regulations

Forklift truck or IPAF license (preferred but not essential)

Minimum 1 year of practical site experience

Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions

A full UK driving license is preferred

Positive, proactive, and safety-conscious approach
