Operational Excellence Professional – Hybrid Role (Manchester)
We’re looking for an experienced Operational Excellence Professional to join our team in Manchester. This hybrid role offers two days on-site and three days from home each week. You’ll play a key role in driving process efficiency, continuous improvement, and financial transformation across multiple business units and geographies.
About the Role
As an Operational Excellence Professional, you will be responsible for optimising end-to-end financial processes, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and implementing best-in-class operational strategies. You’ll collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance financial closing, reporting, and reconciliation while ensuring efficiency and compliance across global operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Process Optimisation & Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Record to Report (RtR) processes.
* Change & Project Management: Drive transformation projects, ensuring smooth implementation with minimal disruption.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Finance, Shared Service Centres, IT, and Business Unit Controllers to align on process strategies.
* Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyse financial data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement validated solutions.
* Governance & Compliance: Maintain process documentation, ensure adherence to global standards, and monitor controls.
* Training & Development: Provide training to teams and develop key performance metrics to track process quality and efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
✅ Qualifications:
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred: Finance, Economics, or related fields)
* CIMA, CPA, or equivalent certification (required)
* Lean Six Sigma Green Belt / Kaizen certification (preferred)
✅ Experience & Skills:
* 5-10 years of experience in finance & accounting, with a strong focus on financial closing, reporting, and reconciliation
* 5-10 years of experience in process optimisation and business process re-engineering
* Strong understanding of SAP and financial shared service environments
* Proven experience in operational excellence, stakeholder management, and process transformation
* Proactive problem solver with a data-driven mindset and strong analytical abilities
* Ability to lead projects and drive a culture of continuous improvement
