Year 1 Teacher - Primary School - Kettering

Simply Education is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kettering that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team.

The position is available to start in the coming weeks, with both full-time and part-time options available to suit your work-life balance.

The Role:

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and development.

Support pupils in developing their literacy, numeracy, and social skills.

Use creative and innovative teaching methods to inspire young learners.

Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and adapting teaching strategies as necessary.

Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.

Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils' self-confidence and independence.What We're Looking For:

✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

✅ Experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 1.

✅ A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.

✅ Strong classroom management and organisational skills.

✅ The ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

✅ Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training can be provided).

Essential Requirements:

🔍 Two years of referencing history

📄 Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
