General Supply Teacher KS3 to KS4
Location: Barnsley
Salary Range: £140 - £190 per day (Depending on experience)
Start time: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking General Supply Teachers to work across secondary schools in Barnsley, covering KS3 to KS4. If you re an Early Career Teacher (ECT) prepared to transition from training to a rewarding teaching role, we encourage you to apply.

As a General Supply Teacher, you will be delivering pre-planned lessons, ensuring classroom engagement, and providing continuity in students' education. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in different schools while maintaining control over your work schedule.

General Supply Teacher Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-set lesson plans to KS3 and KS4 students across a range of subjects.
• Maintain a structured and engaging learning environment.
• Follow school policies and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Adapt to different school settings and work with students of varying abilities.
• Provide feedback to permanent staff regarding student progress and any classroom concerns.
• Ensure safeguarding and child protection measures are upheld at all times.

Requirements for a General Supply Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in secondary schools, covering KS3 and KS4.
• Strong classroom management skills and adaptability.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• A proactive and flexible approach to teaching.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.

Mandatory information:

• The successful candidate must hold PGCE in the relevant subject with Qualified Teaching Status (QTS), or equivalent certification.
• Be able to provide a ten-year career history with relevant reference details covering the last two years, including your most recent place of academic employment.
