Part-time RE Teacher (KS3-KS5)

Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire

Employment Type: Part-time

Position Overview: We are looking for an inspiring RE Teacher to teach Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 students from April 2025. The successful candidate will have full teaching responsibilities and will also take on the role of a Sixth Form tutor, providing guidance and support to our older students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality RE lessons that engage and motivate students from KS3 to KS5.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing feedback and support to help students achieve their best.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning and promotes students' spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
• Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans in line with the school curriculum and exam board requirements.
• Support the wider school community, including participating in school events, parents' evenings, and extracurricular activities.
• Act as a Sixth Form tutor, providing academic and pastoral support to Sixth Form students, helping them with their studies and future career aspirations.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Relevant degree in Religious Education or a related subject.
• Experience teaching RE across KS3-KS5 is preferred.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching.
