Job Description

Our client, operating within the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Site Manager to join their Construction team on a new green field project in Evesham, Worcestershire. This role focuses on a heavy civils bias, including ground stabilisation, piling, and significant retaining walls. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a self-delivery team and manage key subcontractors on site.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing day-to-day management of the green field construction project

Leading a team with a focus on ground stabilisation, piling, and retaining walls

Planning and coordinating all site activities to ensure project objectives and timelines are met

Managing subcontractors and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards

Conducting site inspections and audits to maintain high standards of work

Collaborating with project stakeholders and reporting on project progress

Implementing best practices and innovative solutions to improve efficiency

Ensuring effective communication between all parties involved in the project

Job Requirements:

Extensive experience in civil engineering, particularly within the water sector

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and standards

Proven leadership and team management skills

Excellent planning and organisational abilities

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Understanding of health and safety regulations in a construction environment

Ability to effectively manage subcontractors and ensure project milestones are achieved
