Abatec is recruiting for a freelance General Foreman to join our client, a multi-faceted regional civil engineering contractor on a major highways & structures project in Bristol.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar position on civil engineering projects and a strong background and knowledge of highways and structures projects.

As General Foreman you will:

• Be responsible for managing operative and subcontractors, ensuring programme deadlines are met.
• Manage health and safety standards are upheld on site.
• Keep site diaries, daily allocations sheets, plant sheets, issue permits etc.
• Give daily briefings, conduct inductions and toolbox talks.

Our client requires a General Foreman with:

• Experience of working on civil engineering schemes
• CSCS Gold/Black card, SMSTS
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary/Benefits:

• 300 - 350 p/day (CIS/Umbrella)
