Carmichael UK are seeking am Estimator to join a civils contractor to assist in the preparations of detailed and accurate pricing of tenders and Join our Asset Delivery team as an Estimator initially valuing the Asset Management Forward Work Plan.

- This role will be based in North London

- Minimum 3 days a week in the office.

- 6 month contract

About the Role:

• Undertake estimates in accordance with the companies policies and procedures
• Review customer s drawings and specifications to prepare accurate costing sheets for materials, labour and equipment
• Oversee and/or interrogate design options and value solutions, and if appropriate, identify the attractiveness of a project based on sound estimating principles.
• Record assumptions and identify risks and opportunities including supporting developing the risk evaluation from a pricing/budgetary point of view.
• Liaise with members of the project team & supply chain to develop and understand methodologies and principles proposed.

Skills/experience

• Experience of preparing estimates with a range if information from detailed construction info, through to feasibility study level information
• Demonstrate experience, civil engineering preferable highways schemes
• Candy estimating software
• Microsoft office
• Degree or HNC Civil Engineering/QS
