Development Officer

Hamilton Woods Associates are currently recruiting for a Development Officer to assist with the identification and progression of new growth opportunities for an organisation based in Essex.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Development Officer:

Identify and progress new growth opportunities, focusing on both affordable and market sale options.

Assist with the delivery of new homes by performing site appraisals, site assembly, resident/public consultation, pre-construction surveys and planning applications.

Project manage identified projects and initiatives.

Research land opportunities, planning approvals, and market rents/sales values using online planning portals.

Maximise the charging capacity for all developments and assist with property charging information.

Contribute to the delivery of the growth strategy and Corporate Plan objectives.

Build and maintain effective relationships with developers, landowners, agents, contractors, solicitors, and other teams to support growth.

Maintain accurate records for all new projects

Provide project and contract management support to the New Homes team as needed, including attending meetings and assisting with handovers.

Assist with invoice processing and cost control

Liaise daily with residents, owner-occupiers, Local Authority planners, developers, architects, solicitors, councillors, and Homes and Communities Agency.Essential Requirements of the Development Officer:

Full UK Driving Licence
