SPEN Commissioning Engineers – Contract Opportunity

📍 Location: Scotland

💷 Rate: £850+/day (Outside IR35)

🕐 Job Type: Ongoing Contract

We are looking for experienced SPEN-authorised Commissioning Engineers to support high-voltage network projects across Scotland. This role offers a competitive rate and the opportunity to work on critical energy infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide technical support and attend client meetings/audits

* Develop and execute Commissioning Plans for HV plant and apparatus (11kV, 33kV, 132kV)

* Test and commission Alarm and Control systems

* Identify and resolve design issues in line with DNO standards

* Ensure compliance with current legislation

* Oversee and manage commissioning teams

* Mentor junior engineers

Requirements:

✅ SPEN authorisation – Essential

✅ Proven experience in HV commissioning (11kV, 33kV, 132kV)

✅ Ability to produce detailed commissioning plans and review technical drawings

✅ Strong technical and problem-solving skills

✅ Knowledge of industry regulations and standards
