We are looking for a Strategic Internal Communications Lead for a 12 month contract based in Derby/London on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs. It is a hybrid model.
Purpose of the role:
This role provides the opportunity to be part of a high-energy centralised internal communications team, working at pace to drive the transformation of the client. This role will be at the heart of embedding a new purpose and culture ambition as well as driving the belief in our strategy. It will suit a candidate who is highly motivated and comfortable with ambiguity, able to adapt and lead others through a complex period of change.
As a Strategic Internal Communications Lead you will be responsible for:
Creating narrative and developing communications campaigns targeting all staff and external stakeholders, drawing on the overall company narrative, in service of client's business objectives.
Driving integration of common employee engagement and changing activities across functional areas of GBS, Procurement, IT & Digital
Meeting high standards and best practice to support the transformation programme in support of a mindset and ongoing change programmes to fundamentally simplify and make our ways of working more efficient.
Working with the rest of the Communications team to advise on and execute effective communications tactics to reach our key audiences, coordinating execution across our various internal and external owned channels.
Reducing tactical work, focus on select engagement campaigns prioritising those that overtly align with client strategic direction and annual Communications strategy.What we require from the candidate:
Proven track-record of working on employee communications as part of high-impact, multi-year change programmes.
Knowledge of and passion for technology, digital or financial sector.
Excellent strategic capability and proven ability to deliver results in a complex environment.
Collaborative approach and proven track record of excellent teamwork with senior peers.
Experience in handling confidential information which may be business sensitive or related to government security.
Track record of managing external agencies to time and budget, ability to coach teams to get the best out of an agency.
