TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Catholic Primary school in Tyne and Wear who are currently looking for a Qualified Teaching Assistant on a long term temporary basis working with early year and reception students with various SEND needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and skilled Learning Support Assistant looking to inspire young learners who has previous experience working in early years. Some students do need extra support on a 1:1 basis as they have various SEND needs including Autism and ADHD so prior experience in special education is essential. The successful candidate will have an immediate start and have a genuine enthusiasm supporting students and teachers. Your responsibilities may include classroom preparation, delivering phonics and the national curriculum and record student progress.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2/Level 3 in Supporting and Learning
• SEND expirence
• Develop creative and inspiring lessons that engage students
• Experience teaching Key Stage 1 /KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2
• Excellent classroom management
