Frontline Recruitment Weymouth are seeking a Welder in Bridport area.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various welding techniques and be capable of fabricating and assembling metal components to meet precise specifications. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work effectively with hand and power tools in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Perform welding tasks using techniques such as stick welding and MIG welding.
• Fabricate, assemble, and weld metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and join materials.
• Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and resolve any issues that may arise during the welding process.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Experience

• Proven experience in welding, with a strong understanding of various techniques including stick welding.
• Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication.
• Familiarity with sheet metal work is advantageous.
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the welding trade.
• Mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting equipment and understanding assembly processes.
