Mechanical Fitter / Engineer (Short Term Contract, 8 weeks)
Salary: £18 per hour plus lots of Overtime
Location: Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire

A very reputable organisation within the processing and packaging industry are looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter / Engineer to start immediately on a contract basis with the potential to be extended or even go permanent. The Mechanical Fitter / Engineer will be required to build machines, complete some assembly work as well as work predominately on Pneumatics, Belts, Bearings and Chains. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter / Engineer to work for a very well organised business and potentially have the opportunity to gain permanent employment.

Skills required for an Mechanical Fitter / Engineer:

• Ideally, you will hold a NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or hold a Mechanical Apprenticeship.
• Worked within a Workshop, Field Service or Mechanical Manufacturing environment.
• A keen eye for detail.
• A working knowledge of reading and understanding mechanical drawings.
• A sound knowledge of pneumatics.
• The use of manual handling equipment where required is essential.
• Hands on approach to problem solving.
• Good communication and basic computer skills.
