chool Business Manager / Chief Financial Officer (SBM/CFO) Immediate Start
Location: Highams Park, East London
Type: Full-time
Daily Rate: £250 - £350 (depending on experience)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Business Manager / Chief Financial Officer (SBM/CFO) to join our dynamic team at a school in the Highams Park area with an immediate start. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong financial background and excellent operational skills to support the leadership team in managing the strategic and financial direction of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the financial management of the school, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Oversee the non-teaching operations of the school, including HR, facilities management, and procurement
• Ensure financial compliance with education funding regulations and policies
• Develop and implement strategies to drive cost efficiency and financial sustainability
• Manage financial planning, risk management, and cash flow for the school
• Provide strategic advice to the Headteacher and Governing Body
• Supervise the administration of the school s operations, including IT, procurement, and support services

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in a school business management or CFO role (experience in an educational setting is preferred)
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and education funding
• Excellent strategic planning and financial management skills
• Experience managing large budgets and leading financial decision-making
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with the senior leadership team, staff, and governors
• A relevant finance qualification (such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is desirable
