A Special Educational Needs school in Gloucester is looking for a compassionate and committed Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team. The school caters to students with a variety of learning difficulties, including behavioural and emotional needs, providing a nurturing and structured environment to help them succeed.

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to offer personalised support to students. Your role will be vital in assisting students in managing their behaviour, engaging in their learning, and developing social and emotional skills. You will also contribute to creating a positive and supportive atmosphere where every student feels safe, respected, and valued.

Key Responsibilities of a Behaviour Support Assistant:

• Assist students with challenging behavioural, social, and emotional needs within the classroom and beyond.
• Help in the development and execution of individualised behaviour support plans.
• Support students in developing positive coping strategies and enhancing their social and emotional skills.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and SEN specialists to track student progress and adjust strategies as required.
• Promote a calm, inclusive environment where students feel respected, supported, and encouraged.
