Winner Education are thrilled to be recruiting a Teaching Assistant for an SEN School based in Rochester. MUST DRIVE

Applicants must be readily available due to the urgency of the position. The role is based in a Primary School, full-time, 5 days a week (Monday Friday) and will run until the end of the Summer with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Be actively involved in daily routines of classes, groups or individual learners
• Deliver, monitor and record pupil educational programmes, both inside and outside of the classroom
• Support the class teacher in tailoring lesson planning to deliver to the pupil
• Prepare materials and resources for lessons
• Assist in creating a stimulating learning environment for all learners
• Provide a high standard of physical and emotional care
• Attend staff meetings
• Support the transition of learners into school environment

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

• Be patient in dealing with children with learning difficulties, poor language skills and challenging behaviour patterns
• Demonstrate initiative
• Ability to work co-operatively with all teaching staff and LSA s
• Liaise with medical staff to meet the needs of the pupils
• Have previous experience working with KS4 and KS5 children
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills
