The role will be to help provide the teacher provide the pupils with the best learning experience the college has to offer. The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of T-levels, A levels or Vocational courses at a Key Stage 5 / KS5 and great communication skills. SEN experience in Schools or Colleges will be extremely valuable. Empower students with learning difficulties and disabilities to fully access the curriculum and achieve success within their programme of study and develop greater independence.

The successful Learning Support Assistant (LSA) will have:

• SEN experience in Schools or Colleges
• GCSE or Equivalent functional Skills L2 in Maths and English
• Experience supporting College teachers in a wide range of practical courses
• A broad experience with personal care and learning support work
• A strong knowledge and understanding of level 3 courses

Additional desirable skills/training:

• BILD or similar training
• Knowledge of RARPA approach
