A Teaching Role Unlike Any Other
Not all teaching jobs are the same. Some come with endless planning, paperwork, and stress. This isn’t one of them.
This Lower KS2 teaching role places you in a mixed Year 3/4 class within a single-form entry school rated Outstanding by OFSTED. You’ll work 2–3 days a week on a structured rota (2 days one week, 3 days the next) as part of a 0.5 job share with an experienced teacher, ensuring continuity for the children while allowing you to bring your own unique style.
Step into a well-structured learning environment where you’re supported by an engaged Headteacher, experienced HLTAs, and dedicated intervention staff—so you can focus on what truly matters: teaching and inspiring your students.
The Importance of a Lower KS2 Teacher
Lower Key Stage 2 is a crucial stage in a child's development. It’s when they move from the foundations of early learning into more structured, independent study. This is the time when they refine their reading, writing, and problem-solving skills while also building the confidence to take on more challenges.
A great Lower KS2 teacher doesn’t just deliver lessons—they shape learning experiences. At this stage, children need guidance that nurtures their curiosity, resilience, and independence. As their teacher, you’ll be setting them up for success—not just academically, but in their confidence, problem-solving abilities, and approach to learning as a whole.
Why This Role Stands Out
* No planning required – Your focus will be purely on delivering engaging lessons.
* Small class size – Just 25 students, meaning more time for meaningful interaction.
* Highly supportive environment – Work alongside an inspirational Headteacher who prioritises staff well-being and professional development.
* Strong teamwork culture – Collaborate with HLTAs and intervention staff to provide the best learning experience.
* Flexibility – A 2 to 3-day workweek gives you balance between your career and personal life.
Who We’re Looking For

Working closely with another experienced teacher, HLTAs, and support staff, you’ll need to be adaptable, open to teamwork, and committed to providing the best possible learning experience for the children.
