Teaching Assistant - Secondary School, Southwark

We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Southwark. This is a long-term role running until the end of the academic year, offering a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable school-based experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting students in the classroom, both in groups and on a one-to-one basis

Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management

Helping students with special educational needs or learning difficulties to access the curriculum

Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in lessons

Providing academic and emotional support to students as needed

Requirements:

Previous experience working with children in an educational, mentoring, or support capacity

A valid DBS on the Update Service

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A patient and proactive approach to supporting students' learning
