Position: Procurement Category Manager
Location: London
Contract: 3-month temporary contract with potential to go permanent
Start Date: 24th March
Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team at a leading University in London. This role involves supporting the decentralised purchasing process and consolidating spend across Professional Services and Academics. You will be using the Unite Purchasing Platform to streamline processes and manage budgets effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Support in decentralised purchasing for the Professional Services and Academics Category within the University.
Consolidate spend across various categories and ensure effective budget management.
Work with stakeholders to align purchasing needs.
Provide expertise in the use of the Unite Purchasing Platform for procurement purposes.
Collaborate with category managers to support purchasing and ensure alignment with broader organisational goals.Skills and Experience Required:
Proven experience in professional services, academics, corporate/commercial, IT, HR and audits.
Excellent stakeholder management.
Experience working in both public and private sectors.
Previous experience supporting category managers or working in a similar purchasing/operations role.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge and experience in procurement processes, including using platforms such as Unite Purchasing.Contract Details:
3-month temporary contract with the possibility of permanent placement.
Hybrid working (2 days onsite, 3 days remote).
