Contract Type: Long-Term Supply

Salary: £220 - £280 per day (Dependent on Experience)

QTS: Ideal, but not essential

My client is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join a welcoming school in Southend on a long-term supply basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is keen to inspire students and make a difference in their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver high-quality, engaging English lessons to secondary school students

* Differentiate lessons to support all learners and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment

* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback

* Support the development of students’ literacy and communication skills

* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall teaching and learning experience

* Ensure safeguarding and pastoral care of all students in your charge

Requirements:

* Experience teaching English at the secondary level (KS3 and KS4)

* A passion for teaching and helping students reach their potential

* Strong classroom management skills

* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is ideal but not essential; ECTs and non-QTS candidates are welcome to apply

* Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to teaching

* Availability to start ASAP and commit to a long-term supply role
