Job Description

BAE Systems are currently recruiting for an Assembly Technician to work at their Broadoak site in Portsmouth for an initial 6 month contract!

The role

Manufacture, repair or modify complex Radar, Avionics and Underwater military products

Able to work with no supervision and limited engineering support

Repair/modify current and legacy products

Assemble/process product in accordance with defined work instructions or detailed technical drawings

Support and assist in the training of personnel

Skills Required

Have a good understanding of an assembly discipline such as wiring, fitting, PCB assembly, Microelectronics processing or similar

Be formally qualified in appropriate Workmanship Standard e.g. ANSI J, IPC or similar

Able to perform assembly/disassembly or modification tasks on electronic or mechanical components, subassemblies and systems - encompassing new build, and repairs products

Ability to work unsupervised.

Clearance Requirements & Eligibility

This role will require you to hold or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance (SC). You will need to obtain a BPSS check as part of this process. You must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship and have lived and worked in the UK for a minimum 5 year period.
