GIS Officer

The role:

Architect, implement, and maintain a robust Geographic Information System (GIS) aligned with statutory, ICT, and data management standards, including adherence to Government regulations and the Data Protection Act.

Act as the authoritative figure for GIS data governance within the organisation, managing all aspects of internal and external GIS-related system integrations.

Lead in the delivery of complex GIS projects, developing innovative solutions, and providing technical expertise to support the organisations spatial data infrastructure and decision-making processes.

Key Skills and Experience

Expert in ESRI technologies such as ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro and a good working knowledge of integrating GIS into core business systems such as planning.

Experience of installing, configuring, maintaining and supporting ESRI GIS from a 3rd level perspective including mobile solutions

Knowledge of ArcGIS server technology

Knowledge of QGIS

Experience using data management tools such as FME Desktop/Server.
