Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Cover Supervisor to join our team in Doncaster and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the education sector, particularly those considering a career in teaching. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain on task and that the work set by the absent teacher is completed. This role can be either part time or full time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students in the absence of their usual teacher, ensuring a calm and productive learning environment.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and resources provided by the teaching staff.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and procedures.
• Assist students with any questions or concerns regarding the work set.
• Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate member of staff.
• Support the school's ethos and values, contributing to a positive and inclusive school culture.

Requirements:

• A strong interest in education and working with young people.
• Previous experience working in a school setting is advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a classroom and ensure a positive learning environment.
• Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach to work.
• A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
