Behaviour Mentor
Location: Weoley Castle, Birmingham, B29
Daily Rate: 95 - 105
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (term time only)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term, Temp-to-Perm

Long Term Futures is seeking a resilient and proactive Behaviour Mentor to support a Year 3 pupil on a 1:1 basis, focusing on behaviour management and engagement in the classroom. The role is based at a welcoming primary school in Weoley Castle and is offered on a long-term basis until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

• Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year working in a Primary School or with children in a behaviour support role.
• Skills: Strong behaviour management strategies, experience using de-escalation techniques, and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• Knowledge & Experience:
  • A solid understanding of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs, with experience using tailored support strategies such as visual timetables, sensory breaks, and emotional regulation techniques.
  • Good knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, with the ability to adapt learning activities to engage and support the pupil effectively.
