SEND Teaching Assistant

Immediate Start

£85-£110 a day

8.30am 3.30pm Monday to Friday

TeacherActive are on the lookout for experienced SEND Teaching Assistants / SEND TA s to provide one to one support for pupils with SEND in a variety of fantastic SEND schools across the Wigan Area (WN2).

As a SEND Teaching Assistant / SEND TA, your role will involve creating and inspiring the learning of pupils so the perfect candidate should be experienced in supporting pupils with SEND. The pupils have a varied level of SEND including SLD, MLD and PMLD so being skilled and comfortable in providing personal care would be an advantage.

To be considered for the role of SEND Teacher Assistant / SEND TA , the ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of 6 months experience in an educational establishment

• Knowledge of working with pupils with PMLD, SLD, ASC, EBD and challenging behaviour.

• A calm, patient, and caring persona

• Good communication skills

• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines

• Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
