Senior Social Worker - Adult Services (West Wakefield)

Up to 35 per hour

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join Wakefield Metropolitan Borough Council's Connecting Care Team West, working full time. We are seeking a passionate individual to contribute to the well-being of adults aged 18 and over within the West of the Wakefield district who present with a variety of needs.

About the Role:

As a Senior Social Worker, you will:

• Work confidently and increasingly autonomously with a wide variety and complexity of cases.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective support plans using a strengths-based approach.
• Safeguard vulnerable adults and ensure their rights are protected.
• Collaborate effectively with partner agencies and community resources.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and other professionals.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the team and service.

• An experienced and skilled practitioner: You will possess significant experience in adult social care, demonstrating a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practice.

Essential Requirements:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/Diploma).
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Significant post-qualification experience in adult social care.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
