Job Opportunity: Financial Analyst - Business Case Development

📍 Location: Inverness, Scotland (Remote/Hybrid Options Available)

Are you an experienced finance professional with expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and business case development? We are seeking a Financial Analyst to support the development of a Full Business Case (FBC) for a major Operating Model transformation project.

Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Conduct financial modelling and scenario analysis to support business case development.

✔️ Collaborate with senior finance colleagues and external consultants to ensure accurate financial reporting.

✔️ Provide insights on financial sustainability, risk, and forecasting for decision-making.

✔️ Develop a comprehensive forecast model, incorporating key financial drivers and assumptions.

✔️ Present financial findings and recommendations to directors and key stakeholders.

✔️ Ensure compliance with external financial reporting requirements.

What We're Looking For:

✅ Essential:

🔹 Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS) or significant equivalent experience.

🔹 Proven expertise in financial modelling and Full Business Case (FBC) development.

🔹 Strong analytic skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

🔹 Experience working with senior finance teams and external stakeholders.

🔹 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.

✅ Desirable:

🔹 Knowledge of financial reporting requirements within higher education or public sector.

🔹 Familiarity with Scottish Funding Council regulations.

🔹 Experience in financial risk assessment and sustainability analysis.
