Our client is a world class publishing house with a globally recognised brand, this role is to work alongside the Finance Director in driving the companies reporting, and ensuring the culture of control improvements. As financial controller you will ensure the companys financial reports are delivered, presented and maintained in a timely, accurate mannerand you will have responsibility over the Management Accountant and Ap/AR teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Duties

O             Leading the preparation and coordination of monthly management accounts to ensure timely and accurate reporting

O             Supervise UK Finance team including Accounts Payable, Credit Controller and Management Accountant

O             Monthly analysis & department performance review

O             Developing and driving annual budget and rolling forecasts

O             Liaise with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and ensure timely resolution of audit issues

O             Creation & review of monthly finance packs for UK Finance Director

O             Identifying risks & opportunities

Key Skills

O             Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)

O             Minimum 5 years post qualified experience or similar relevant experience essential

O             Several years' experience as Financial Controller or a Head of Finance

O             Background in Media/publishing preferable

O             Working knowledge of all appropriate statutory legislation and regulations

O             Commercial and business awareness

O             Proactive and detail orientated approach

O             Strong leadership attributes
