Job Title: Certified Surg Tech-CST-OR Location: Syracuse, NY 13215 Duration: 13-week contract Shift/Schedule: Variable, Day shift (07:00am - 5:00pm) Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours a Week Job Description: • Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments and equipment. • Ensure all surgical equipment is sterilized and functioning properly. • Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and other supplies. • Maintain a sterile environment to minimize the risk of infection. Qualifications: • Looking for Surg Techs working day shift • Minimum of 3 years of recent exp. (within the last 4 years) in the operating room in an acute care facility • (Level 1 trauma center/or teaching hospital), or in an equivalent size facility in the specialty area (adult or peds). • Certification: BLS, NBSTSA • Scrub experience is required. • Operating room experience should be in general surgery and specialty areas i.e. , ortho, neurosurgery, trauma, vascular, ENT, bariatric, GU, GYN. • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Additional Requirements: • No First Assist in New York State. • Shift straight 8-hour shifts, or a mix of 8's and 12's, 80 hours biweekly. • First time travelers will only be considered if exp. in hospitals of equal size.
