Job Title: Lab Supervisor Location: Temple, TX 76508 Duration: 52 Weeks Shift: Eve Job Description: • Supervises the work of assigned subordinates engaged in the pre-statistical, data-based, and/or post-statistical phases of testing. Performs all delegated functions as defined by facility CLIA Director. • Prepares schedules, coordinates job assignments, and monitors personnel. Assist in the selection, orientation, training, assignments, evaluations, discipline, and discharge of employees. • Assists in the development of policies and procedures related to the laboratory, staffing, and scheduling. • Communicates and escalates staffing issues or other concerns to management in a timely manner. • Monitors the inventory system to ensure that necessary supplies are available as needed and in the proper quantity. • Assists with implementing quality assurance programs and maintains standards and records that document compliance with regulatory agencies. • Assists with the review of all quality control, proficiency testing, instrument maintenance, and quality assurance records, and any associated corrective action. • Assists with the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets. Qualifications EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification EXPERIENCE - 4 Years of Experience CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION - • ASCP-Blood Banking Technologist (ASCP-BB), ASCP-Chemistry Technologist (ASCP-C), ASCP-Cytogenetics Technologist (ASCP-CG), ASCP-Cytologist (ASCP-CT), ASCP-Hematology Technologist (ASCP-H), ASCP-Histotechnician (ASCP-HT), ASCP-Histotechnologist (ASCP-HTL), ASCP-Microbiology Technologist (ASCP-M), Molecular Biology Technologist (ASCP-MB), ASCP-Blood Banking Specialist (ASCP-SBB), ASCP-Chemistry Specialist (ASCP-SC): Must have one of the following: • ASCP-Hematology Specialist (ASCP-SH), ASCP-Microbiology Specialist (ASCP-SM), Cert Histocompatibility Spec (CHS-ABHI), Cert Histocompatibility Techno (CHT-ABHI), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Medical Technologist (MT), Specialist in Cytology-ASCP (SCT), Specialist in Cytometry-ASCP (SCYM), Molecular Biology Spec-ASCP (SMB Trauma Level: 1 Bed Size: 636 "We are an equal opportunity employer.
