Head of Family Help

Initial 3-6 month interim contract

London, full-time (Hyrbid working)

£500 per day (umbrella) – scope of negotiation

An exciting new interim opportunity has arisen within a Local Authority in London for an experienced Head of Family Help following an internal restructure and in readiness for the Social Care Reforms.

My client has further invested in the team creating this additional capacity role and is seeking interim support whilst they look to appoint permanently to the post. The role will benefit from an experienced leader with knowledge of the Pathfinders and the Social Care Reforms

My client will be holding MS Teams interviews within the coming week to start ASAP

About your duties as the Head of Family Help:

Your will have 2-4 direct reports and overall responsibility for the staff group and budget in their area.

We are seeking candidates who are qualified social workers with a thorough technical knowledge of the requirements of Working Together 2023, the Pan London Child Protection Procedures and other relevant safeguarding statutory guidance.

You will demonstrate a good understanding of the DfE families First for Children programme of reform.

You will demonstrate a track record of practice improvement and an in depth understanding of the Signs of Safety practice framework with an anti racist focusYour experience needed as the Head of Family Help:

You will have experience in senior management (Head of Service) which includes managing complex frontline operational safeguarding practice.

Evidence good communication skills and transforming services

Must hold a valid enhanced DBS or be able to undertake a new one

Social work qualification and active registration with Social Work Engalnd

Available references for most recent 5 year's roles
