Job Description

The Bakerloo Line Upgrade is a major line upgrade programme replacing the existing rolling stock with a brand new fleet, and carrying out all of the associated line-wide infrastructure upgrades to enable the new fleet. The scope includes safeguarding future extensions and signalling upgrades. Role description:

- Strong problem-solving mindset with experience of multidisciplinary & especially HV and LV power focussing on the feasibility of upgrading the Bakerloo Line deliver of new rolling stock.

- A high level of experience in project engingineering both from Power & Multidisciplinary experience across a wide variety of disciplines including some (or all) of the following: track, signalling, heavy civils, control & information systems, HV power distribution, enabling works etc.

- Strong communication skills, capable of working closely with internal teams, external consultants, and stakeholders

- Responsible for ensuring short term LU and NR power engineering deliverables are complete and support to the programme is provided to achieve programme governance gates and strategic milestone(s) on programme.

- Responsible for coordinating the internal disciplines to support packages of work from feasibility through to delivery. Provide technical supervision of external delivery packages. This includes leading TQ sessions, evaluating delivery options, development sites, stabling needs, etc.

- Contributing to the development of works information, scopes, technical specifications and design documents.

- Collaborating with Systems and Requirements Engineers in developing and validating the requirements hierarchy, ensuring technical requirements are sufficiently captured.

- Participating actively in the programme and design meetings, risk reviews.

- Responsible for defining engineering risks and opportunities within ARM.

- Supporting the development of requirements, and supporting change control processes.

- Drafting scope of work for external works packages to allow them to price with support from Requirements Engineer and Systems Engineer
