Temporary Catering Assistant (Enhanced DBS on the Child Baring Service is Required)

Hours: Monday & Friday, 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM (4 hours per day, 8 hours per week)

Pay: 13.00 phr including holiday pay + Weekly pay

Duration: Until at least the start of April 2025

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Temporary Catering Assistant to join a busy catering team within an educational setting in Macclesfield. This role is crucial in supporting the smooth running of the kitchen during lunchtime service, ensuring students receive nutritious and timely meals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of food and beverages.
• Maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and sweeping floors.
• Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the catering manager.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Providing excellent customer service to students and staff.
• Adhering to all school policies and procedures.
• General kitchen duties as required.

Essential Requirements:

• Valid Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Child Barring Service (essential).
• Previous experience working in a catering or food service environment (desirable).
• A good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work Mondays and Fridays, 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM.
