Our client, a tier 1 Contractor, is seeking an experience Site Manager/construction Manager to join their team in the Midlands.

Sector: Wastewater Treatment / UK Water Industry

Our client, a leading contractor partnering with Severn Trent Water, is seeking an experienced Site Manager/Construction Manager to oversee daily operations of wastewater treatment sites, initially in the Stafford area and then on to major projects for AMP 8 in the Leicester area. This contract role requires a strong leader with proven experience in the UK Civils sector, Water is preferable but not essential. 

Key Responsibilities:

Site Operations: Manage daily activities to ensure the site runs efficiently and meets operational targets.

Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety standards, conduct risk assessments, and ensure full CDM compliance.

Team Leadership: Oversee site staff and contractors, ensuring smooth 24/7 operations and adherence to safety protocols.

Project Coordination: Lead on-site projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.

Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all operations adhere to environmental and industry regulations, submitting compliance and performance reports as required.

Maintenance Oversight: Manage maintenance schedules and equipment to minimise downtime and ensure continued site efficiency.Requirements:

Municipal Civil Engineering – Focuses on city-based civil works for local authorities.

Utilities & Underground Works – Includes water mains, sewer systems, drainage.

UK Water project experience (desirable)

Civil Engineering qualification (preferred)

Valid certifications:

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

First Aid

Full UK Driver’s Licence
