Are you an Exteriors Engineer seeking a new opportunity to grow your career?
ASL Technical are now working with a leading automotive engineering company as they look to expand their Exterior Design Engineering team.

• Responsible for the development of exterior trim parts, primarily plastic injection moulding.
• Work closely with styling, project management, purchasing, test, and manufacturing departments to take exterior trim parts from design concept to manufacture.
• Manage parts and suppliers to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Focus on rear-end design (bumpers, spoilers, back door finishers) and side/door mouldings.
• Handle BOM management and reporting of concerns.

• Develop exterior trim parts to meet design, performance, and styling requirements.
• Release designs on time and within budget.
• Manage suppliers for design, testing, quality, and timing to achieve key project milestones.
• Attend build support sessions, design reviews, supplier part inspections, and technical meetings.
• Travel to other facilities and supplier sites when required.

• Experience in the automotive industry is highly desirable.
• Background in front and rear-end design, including bumpers, grilles, spoilers, back door finishers, and side mouldings.
• Knowledge of Siemens NX CAD and Teamcenter or similar CAD software.
• Strong proficiency in mechanical engineering.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Valid driving license required.

• The role is based at the Cranfield site, with flexibility for remote working in line with company policies.
• Travel is required to other sites and supplier locations.
