Clear Engineering are currently looking for SAP (Senior Authorised Person) to join an established MEP Contractor in Dublin to work on a large data centre project. This is a 6 month rolling contract.

Key responsibilities -

Act as the Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for high-voltage (HV) electrical systems, making sure switching and maintenance duties are carried out safely.

Perform HV and LV switching operations, isolations, and issue permits in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

Oversee the testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HV systems, including switchgear, transformers, and backup power infrastructure.

Ensure system reliability and uptime, proactively identifying and addressing potential electrical risks.

Identify and respond to electrical faults, troubleshooting issues to prevent downtime in a critical environment.

Support and manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules to improve system performance and reliability.

Conduct risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and safety audits for all HV and LV operations.Requirements -

Must hold Senior Authorised Person (SAP) certificate

Current Wiring Regulations Certificate (e.g 18th edition)

Ideally hold an Electrical degree or equivalent

The ideal person will have experience working in a mission critical environment previously.
