Job Vacancy: Damp and Mould Repairs Operative (Initial 3 Month Contract with Possibility of Extension)

Start Date: ASAP - 3 Month Contract
Pay Rate: £17.39 Per Hour PAYE
Working Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, 08:00 - 16:00
Job Purpose:
We are looking for experienced and skilled Damp and Mould Repairs Operatives to join our dedicated team. You will play a key role in ensuring our residents' homes are safe, free from health hazards, and maintained to the highest standards. This role involves carrying out minor repairs and three-part mould treatments throughout our housing stock, primarily in social housing settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out three-part mould treatments to remove immediate risks and ensure residents' homes are safe.
Complete minor associated repairs (e.g., redecoration, sealant replacement, minor carpentry or plasterwork) as needed.
Work effectively and respectfully within residents' homes, maintaining high levels of customer care.
Identify and report any follow-up works or concerns back to the office for further action.
Ensure that all work is completed safely and to a high standard, in line with health and safety guidance and internal procedures.
Collaborate with the wider Damp and Mould Team to ensure a coordinated and proactive approach to damp and mould issues.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience in carrying out damp and mould treatments, especially three-part treatments, in social housing or a similar environment.
A range of trade skills to carry out minor repairs (e.g., decorating, sealing, patch plastering).
Strong communication skills, with the ability to report findings and issues.
Commitment to health and safety, resident well-being, and quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently, manage your workload, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Full UK Driving Licence.
