Job Vacancy: Damp and Mould Repairs Operative (Initial 3 Month Contract with Possibility of Extension)

Location: SM1 4LE

Start Date: ASAP - 3 Month Contract

Pay Rate: 17.39 Per Hour PAYE

Working Hours: 37 Hours Per Week, 08:00 - 16:00

Job Purpose:

We are looking for experienced and skilled Damp and Mould Repairs Operatives to join our dedicated team. You will play a key role in ensuring our residents' homes are safe, free from health hazards, and maintained to the highest standards. This role involves carrying out minor repairs and three-part mould treatments throughout our housing stock, primarily in social housing settings.

• Carry out three-part mould treatments to remove immediate risks and ensure residents' homes are safe.
• Complete minor associated repairs (e.g., redecoration, sealant replacement, minor carpentry or plasterwork) as needed.
• Work effectively and respectfully within residents' homes, maintaining high levels of customer care.
• Identify and report any follow-up works or concerns back to the office for further action.
• Ensure that all work is completed safely and to a high standard, in line with health and safety guidance and internal procedures.
• Collaborate with the wider Damp and Mould Team to ensure a coordinated and proactive approach to damp and mould issues.

• Proven experience in carrying out damp and mould treatments, especially three-part treatments, in social housing or a similar environment.
• A range of trade skills to carry out minor repairs (e.g., decorating, sealing, patch plastering).
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to report findings and issues.
• Commitment to health and safety, resident well-being, and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently, manage your workload, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
