Our client, based in South Cambridge, is looking for a Research Coordinator. Our client is working with other organisations to deliver a Research/Fellowship Programme and is looking for a Research Coordinator to oversee this project. This role is a full-time role (37hrs per week) based on-site, and this role is a fixed term contract until September 2027.
The Research Coordinator will report to the Research Operations Manager and will play a key role in the delivery of the Research/Fellowship Programme. The Research Coordinator will be responsible for up to six researchers, and will work closely alongside other stakeholders to ensure that the researchers are fully supported at all stages of their projects.
Responsibilities will include:
* Administration of the research programme
* Coordinating timely project reporting, invoicing and financial controls
* Scheduling meetings
* Organising papers, contracts and invoices
* Coordinating and sharing documentation with stakeholders
* Ensuring that all training, and health and safety, records are up to date at all times
* Working alongside the Research Operations Manager to deliver the programme
* Marketing and Communications for existing programmes
* Coordinating activities and scheduling to support the delivery of the workstream within the research programme.
Travel to other research campuses around Cambridgeshire may be necessary to support all researchers that the Research Coordinator is responsible for.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
* Relevant undergraduate degree in the life sciences or other qualification with an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and training
* PRINCE2 (or equivalent project management qualification)
* Experience of working with diverse stakeholders internally and externally
* Project Management experience
* Coordinating collaborative research programmes, ideally that span academia and industry
* Experience of undertaking scientific research
* Experience of coordinating contracts and invoices
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Use of Microsoft word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and other packages
* Knowledge of business development and creation of value from academic research (Desirable)
